Utilizing evergreens, we prepare for the winter garden to provide a continuous display. In addition to planning for all the seasons, we have been enjoying the garden at night by adding primarily solar lights to extend the viewing pleasure. Japanese maples provide the color like nothing else.

With all the editing tools available, it's easy to add colors to a picture that were not inherent in the original photo.  When I saw this scene, I was astounded by the beautiful colors; so I decided to post this photo with absolutely no colorization added. This is how we witnessed this colorful scene.

This photo was taken at one of our favorite London neighborhoods -- Covent Garden. Have you heard the expression, "Two nations divided by a common language?" I find the differences completely fascinating.

How do you spell color (colour)?
How do you pronounce schedule?

"Would you ring me up?"
In America, this phrase would mean, "I'm ready to complete the check-out process to purchase this item."  In the U.K., this phrase means, "Call me."

What differences in words, phrases and meanings do you find interesting?

What word would you use to describe this mode of transportation?  Whichever word you choose may not be adequate. You'd probably not be surprised to know that this photo was taken in San Francisco --a city which previously topped our favorite city list.  After being chased by aggressive homeless who were demanding to steal my camera, this city descended rapidly from its perch atop my favorite list.  I'm certain that I wouldn't want to participate in being chased by bulls in Spain either.  At this moment, London claims the mantle of our number one pick of all the locations we visit, despite not having high-adrenalin chases and a vehicle decorated exactly like this one.

Numerous movies have been filmed at this location in Monument Valley.  You can imagine how excited I was when this cowboy came into the view of my camera for this perfect photo oppportunity.
